The pretty market town of Wymondham is one of the hottest areas for properties in Norfolk. Andy Fleming (74) and his wife Lin (72), moved to the town and chose a Lovell new build bungalow in summer 2021 after wanting to be closer to their family.
Relocating from St Ives in Cambridgeshire, they wanted to find their forever home. Andy said: “One of our daughters lives in Wymondham and St Ives has a real sense of community and Wymondham is very similar, with them both being market towns. We were really impressed by Lovell when we came to view the site and the properties on offer, and by the team themselves as we felt like they knew us and what we wanted. We needed a bungalow due to mobility issues and looking to our future, and have found our forever home with this one. We love it.”
When asked how they are getting on in their bungalow, Andy said: “Well, we can’t fall over as there are no stairs! We love the kitchen – it’s much bigger than our last home. When we looked around at properties, other bungalows were very dated and needed lots of work, but here there is nothing to do and no immediate decoration needed either. We were surprised by the garden too and what a nice size it is. We love nature and have already attracted wildlife and birds into our garden.”
The best thing about the move? Andy added: “Being around our grandchildren is priceless. We love seeing them and we also love the Norfolk countryside and are regulars to Sculthorpe and Pensthorpe Natural Park.”
