St Martins Housing Trust, a charity working in Norwich and Norfolk to provide ‘more than a home for the homeless’ and focusing on prevention, crisis and sustained support, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and we are supporting its vital work by sponsoring a category at its fundraising gala.
Lovell is sponsoring the ‘Bundle of Energy’ award, awarded to someone at the charity who shows dedication and passion in their role and for the charity, and looks into new ways of working and evolving initiatives.
The fundraising gala will be held at Sprowston Manor Hotel on Thursday 20th October with a delicious three-course meal, a raffle, auction, awards and disco. Plus, the event will be hosted by Shaun Williamson, aka Barry from Eastenders!
Simon Medler, our regional managing director, said: “St Martins Housing Trust has been supporting vulnerable people here in Norfolk for 50 years and money raised from the night will help support a new hostel opening soon, as well as all the other inspiring work the charity does every day to support those struggling. As well as sponsoring one of the awards to celebrate and recognise its fantastic team, some of the Lovell team will also be attending on the night.”
St Martins prevention work includes supporting people in their own homes and providing them with person-centred support to help them to live independently and maintain their tenancies. Other work includes emergency assessment and accommodation. At any one time they support around 300 people with a staff team of 180.
