Lovell is poised to start work in the New Year on a £10.9 million development which will bring new homes to a former warehouse site in the village of Mendlesham, near Stowmarket.
The new development – Station Fields - will deliver 50 homes for open market sale by Lovell and six affordable rented homes for affordable housing provider Havebury Housing Partnership.
Construction is set to start in January 2017 on the homes which will be built at the former G R Warehousing premises off Old Station Road. The overall development is scheduled for completion at the end of 2018.
Carefully designed to be in keeping with their village setting, the new properties are traditional in style and are made up of two one-bedroom houses; 13 two-bedroom houses; 28 three-bedroom and 13 four-bedroom houses. Incorporating high standards of insulation, homes will achieve ultra-low energy consumption.
