As a celebration of the launch of Lovell Homes’ brand-new development in Howden, the housebuilder teamed up with local walking group the Howden and Goole Ramblers to explore the area and get to know the community.
It comes after sales for its latest site, Saddlers Grange, went live last month. When complete, the development will offer 175 three- and four-bedroom homes, 131 on the open market and 33 affordable homes through Together Housing Group.
Taking place on 19 July, the five-mile walk from Hook took three members of the Lovell team – Jade Banks, sales advisor for Howden, Becca Greenwood, field sales manager and Sarah Lancaster, sales co-ordinator – and the Ramblers along the picturesque banks of the River Ouse, across urban Goole and then back along the riverbank at Goole Riverside Gardens before returning to Hook.
Jade said: “I thoroughly enjoyed my walk with the Ramblers. It gave me the opportunity to not only explore the lesser-known beauty spots the area has to offer but also to start building a relationship with the local community, which the Saddlers Grange development will form an exciting new part of.
“Every time I start working at a new site, I like to have a good drive round and figure out where everything is and touch base with local estate agents, which helps me answer the customers questions, especially if they’re not from the area. But this was a brand-new way of getting to know the location and sourcing the all-important information I’ll be providing to customers over the coming months and I’d like to thank the group for being so welcoming.”
Marian Thomas, group walk secretary for the Howden and Goole Ramblers said: “We were delighted to be joined by Jade, Becca and Sarah on our recent walk and would also like to say thank you for the water bottles, which were most welcome on a day where temperatures soared into the high twenties!”
