Y and partner A were delighted to find a perfect apartment in Lovell’s Vista Hatfield. Being very technologically driven they found the apartment from extensive on-line searching and said the deciding factors for their choice were the central position in town and the proximity to London. The Vista Hatfield website clearly did its job well. The couple viewed the apartment in September and made a second visit in early October 2023. At this point they made the decision to purchase, and one month later they had exchanged! The couple were very impressed by the responsiveness of Lovell staff who made the purchase process run smoothly.
Having experienced rising rental costs in New Cross over five years, buying in Hatfield was a great move. For Y, a software engineer, being just 25 minutes from his office which is 2 minutes from Kings Cross station is a compelling driver. Y paid a 40% deposit and now enjoys mortgage repayments significantly lower than the cost of renting in their previous home which had risen to £2k per month. Finding a mortgage provider that allows annual overpayments of up to 20% means that Yi expects to own the property outright within 5 years.
“Hatfield is a small vibrant town which suits our regime”. For A, (a psychotherapist) community is very important and he has already become involved in voluntary work with young locals.
Y and A, choose a “humble and frugal lifestyle” and with everything they need “on the doorstep, the town centre location is important to us.”
The high specification two-bedroomed Lovell apartment on the top floor means they enjoy lofty views across town. Their favourite room is the light and spacious living area where they spend much of their day. Currently considering the style of décor, they are relaxed and will take their time to make it exactly as they want it. The well-designed kitchen is utilised to the full with Y having excellent cooking skills.
The Lovell development is set in a highly desirable location close to Hatfield station with regular train services into London King’s Cross taking 23 minutes, offering a total of 71 homes it contributes to the wider regeneration of Hatfield town centre as part of the Hatfield 2030 Vision.
