In preparation for married life together, Amelia (28) and Zach (27) had spent eight months searching for their first home together. Having been recommended Lovell Homes’ Vista by family already living at the Hatfield development, the couple decided to take a look for themselves and instantly fell in love with the two-bedroom show apartment.
Amelia explains: “We’d looked at a development in Slough, but the prices were a lot more expensive than we’d hoped for, so we wanted to see what else was out there. I have family living on the fourth floor at Vista and the pictures they shared looked great, so we came to have a look for ourselves. When we saw the show home, we knew we’d found the place for us so put an offer in the very same evening.”
Amelia and Zach bought a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment. Describing the property, Amelia comments: “We’d been living with family but as we were getting married in April, it was important to us to have somewhere to move into to start our married life together. I love that we have a very open-plan living area. We’ve hosted friends and family since moving in so having that space is really useful. The structure of the kitchen with the sink in the corner means everything is really sleek. Our bedroom is a great size and we’ve got an en-suite which is lovely. Buying a new-build home means everything is so nice and clean.”
With a wedding and a move to think about in April, buying somewhere “move-in ready” was certain to make the process smoother. Amelia explains: “Buying the show apartment meant that we didn’t need to worry about wall fittings and wallpaper because that was already installed, but as a new build, we still had plenty of scope to personalise the space and make it our own. Since moving in, we’ve been filling in the gaps with furniture and now we’ve got a beautiful and modern home.”
As part of Hatfield’s ambitious regeneration plans, Vista's prime location in the town centre places residents at the heart of a vibrant and thriving community. Amelia comments: “I’d visited The Galleria in Hatfield before, but it wasn’t an area I was really familiar with. Living here now, it’s amazing how conveniently Vista is located. We have got White Lion Square behind us, so there’s a range of shops and a supermarket right on our doorstep if we need anything. Simmons Bakers is just around the corner and the croissants there are amazing!”
Amelia concludes: “Buying our first home, we had so many questions about the property and the whole process. Ali guided us through the process and was really helpful. Anything that she didn’t know immediately, she would always get back to us.
