Monika Firago, 43, recently moved into her first home at St Edmund’s Park with her partner Leighton, using Help to Buy. They purchased a Lovell two bedroom end terrace house and the couple are enjoying village life.
Monika, who works in a local school, is now close to her work and has everything on the doorstep. Monika explains: “We previously rented a house in a rural village, which was gorgeous but not practical. We couldn’t get access to shops when it was snowing and we were very isolated. We love Acle as I work in the village, it is by the A47 and is central to Norwich and the seaside. Acle has independent shops, a supermarket, a brilliant coffee shop, garage, school, doctor’s surgery and railway station too, so we have everything we need right here.”

Monika says: “We are so happy with the quality of our home, but it is also all the other details like attention to detail, the workers on site being tidy and polite, and the excellent communication we had from the Acle sales executive, Dulcie. We were kept up to date with every aspect of our new home, and Dulcie was really supportive. The community here is lovely too, there is a mixture of ages and everyone is respectful.”
Monika is aware of some issues with new homes, as she continues: “We have only had a few snags but these were mainly due to the property still drying out, and Lovell were very quick to come out and tidy up some of these areas which just needed touching up with paint. I love every room in our home, perhaps the kitchen and living room in particular as that is where we spend most of our time. We also got some finishing touches from the inspirations range, including Amtico in the living room and hall, as well as a shed, and we are happy with it all. We have had a great experience with Lovell and highly recommend them to others.”
