First residents move into their apartment at Hatfield Rise using Help to Buy

Ian Walsh and Rochelle Hall are over the moon to have made the move into Lovell Homes’ Hatfield Rise and are now enjoying personalising their brand-new home.

The couple, who were renting in St Albans, took up the Government’s Help to Buy and bought their £300,000 spacious, two-bedroom apartment on the first floor.

The first phase of apartments at Hatfield Rise in Highview sold out in a few months and now Lovell Homes is launching its 11 three bedroom houses which have received significant buyer interest.

Ian, a secondary school teacher and Rochelle, who works for the NHS, were ‘blown away’ by the quality of the finish at the new development.

Ian said: “We were initially looking to buy in St Albans, but for a similar new build it would have set us back an extra £100,000 and we couldn’t afford that.”

Ian added: “As soon as we viewed Hatfield Rise we were set on buying because it ticked all our boxes. As well as a quality build, we loved the open plan layout, balcony and the proximity to shops. Judging by how quick they all sold we were right to buy off plan when we did.”

Simon Ginsburg, head of sales at Hatfield said; “Hatfield Rise has everything a buyer could want - a good location close to the station and motorway, well-appointed apartments with great space and affordability. It’s a fantastic opportunity to get onto the property ladder in Hatfield.”

The partnership between Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council and Lovell Homes, has culminated in an impressive new development which leads the town’s ambitious plan to provide more quality new homes. Over the next four years it will deliver a range of housing - from one and two-bedroom contemporary apartments to three-bedroom houses.

To really appreciate the development and its views, potential buyers are now being asked to register for a viewing.

Prices for the three bedroom house start from £495,000
