Finding Their Dream Home: Couple Relocates To Weston After Being Wowed By Lovell Homes

ALISON Sinka and her husband Craig had no intention of moving when they visited Weston village to have lunch at a local pub. The spot holds a special place for the couple as they got engaged outside the White Lion, and after catching a glimpse of Lovell’s logo on the site of its new development, the couple decided it was fate and that Weston Woods would be the perfect location for their new family home.

Surrounded by nature with only a short walk to the woods, the development has attracted an abundance of buyers looking to escape to the country – and the Sinka family was no exception.

Alison, who works at a primary school, said: “The village itself means a lot to me as I spent a lot of my childhood running around Weston and exploring its beautiful surroundings, which is something I’m keen for my children to experience as well.

“As soon as I saw that Lovell was building houses in the area, I knew it was the right time for us to make the move. Its location is probably one of the development’s biggest selling points – the local school and supermarket are only a 15-minute drive away and we can walk to the pub in under ten minutes, which is fantastic considering how quiet the surrounding area is.”

The family bought the four-bedroom Redbourne property, which was sold with high-quality French doors leading to  a large garden for them to enjoy.

Craig, who works as a director at a builders’ merchant, said: “In terms of the property itself, we couldn’t have asked for more. Our youngest daughter has cerebral palsy, so we need a lot of space at home to make sure we have room for all of her medical equipment. Offering four large bedrooms along with a spacious kitchen and living area, the house has provided each member of our family with the space they need to truly enjoy our new home.”

The couple reserved the house in October 2020 and were the first completion on the Weston Woods development, moving into the property two months later in December.

Alison added: “Moving during the middle of a pandemic was hard work as a lot of the usual processes were delayed due to the impact of Covid-19. However, we really benefitted from not being stuck in an upward chain and knowing exactly when we would be able to move into the new property, rather than relying on the success of someone else’s sale.

“We’ve have settled into the property now and we’re looking forward to making lots of new memories with the kids in our new home.”
