Our Bowlers Green development at Hopton-on-Sea in Norfolk is a popular site. It’s a fantastic location as it’s a short drive to the beach, and there are good connections to Norwich city centre, which make it the perfect place to enjoy both coastal village and city life.
Rachel Walker, 32, moved into her dream home at Bowlers Green, with her partner Mark, daughter and two dogs in September 2022. They purchased an Ashdown 4-bedroom house from Lovell and are extremely happy with their new home.
Rachel, who previously lived in Burgh Castle with her family, says everything fell into place at the right time and she couldn’t be more pleased with the property, the location and the Lovell experience. Rachel explains: “My partner, Mark, actually works on this site and came home one day saying that I needed to see the layout of this specific house. We went to visit one of the other Lovell sites where an Ashdown was the show home and quickly realised that this is the house we’d always looked for. Sometimes with new builds, you might have to compromise something, but we haven’t had to compromise anything – the garden is a brilliant size, the layout is very open plan – it’s all very spacious, which is great when you have a child and two dogs.”
The location and community feel were also something that attracted Rachel and her family to purchase a home with Lovell. She continues: “Hopton has a fantastic village vibe. Whilst our previous home was in a village, it was on a main road, so we lost that true village feeling. However, here we live in a community and have great neighbours and I feel confident to allow our daughter to play outside. We regularly take our two dogs for walks along the beach and I’m so pleased that our daughter will grow up in a lovely environment.”
When discussing the experience they had with Lovell, Rachel was extremely complimentary, commenting “Everything ran very smoothly from the Lovell side of things – it was all on time and we got to choose all our finishings without any issues. Lovell continues to check in with everything and have been great. We couldn’t be more pleased and we can’t see ourselves living anywhere else.”
As a historic seaside village, Hopton-on-Sea provides a quiet, homely feel but, throughout the year, sees many people enjoying the attractive surroundings and amenities. Hopton beach is beautiful and provides several walks with lovely views, The Turnstone and The White Hart are two of the homely pubs within the village and offer a family-friendly atmosphere. Transport links are excellent.
