Matt Russell is our sales executive at Lovell and is currently looking after the last few homes at our All Saints Green at Stradbroke site. A firm favourite with our customers and team, Matt is really friendly and knows his stuff – so we caught up with him for a chat…
What did you do before joining Lovell?
After leaving school, I briefly worked with my dad, who is now semi-retired, in construction - mainly on renovations. I moved to Spain for a year and did bar work, before moving back and working in a plastics fire extinguisher factory. I then had a think about what I wanted to do long term and decided that my strength is sales and so I applied for a job with Lovell.
Why do you like working for Lovell?
I really do recommend working for Lovell, as they look after their team. I started with Lovell at Wymondham as a trainee sales executive in October 2022, then got a promotion and came to the Stradbroke site, which is really special. I have a contact list for support, which includes our managing director. Lovell supports you every step of the way so that you can continue to progress. Everyone is lovely to work with.
What should people choose Lovell to buy a home from?
Lovell has a great reputation, building good quality homes, and has a 5-star level of service which makes buying a home easy. They make the whole process straight forward and they build communities.
What does a typical day look like for you?
I will look at my list for the day before making calls and appointments for prospective buyers, and then meeting some of them. I enjoy meeting new people and just generally being able to help them find their forever home.
Why Stradbroke?
Stradbroke is a lovely location. It’s a quiet village in the country with lots of walks and is great for dogs. There are good schools, some shops and Stradbroke is really just such a lovely place to call home.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
I’m really into sports so you will find me working out!
