The doors have opened at Lavender Chase in Hunstanton, a new 60-home development from Lovell on King’s Lynn Road. The opening weekend saw many people through the doors of the two show homes and marketing suite, and Lovell has now unveiled the first images and inspiration behind one of its show homes.

Interior designers Edward Thomas designed the four-bedroom Ashdown show home. Andy Richardson, director at Edward Thomas Interiors, said: “Hunstanton is one of Norfolk’s most popular seaside towns so we deliberately crafted the show home to appeal to homeowners from all stages of life, from young families to downsizers and retirees. The overall style has a quintessentially English feel, with bold botanical prints and ditsy florals. Taking inspiration from the development’s name, shades of lavender and plum can be found throughout the home, including a charming lavender patterned wallpaper in the downstairs cloakroom.

In the living room and main bedroom, we’ve designed two feature walls with wallpaper applied to wood panels. This is an evolution of the panelling trend that has dominated this year and something we expect to see more of in 2025.

Another trend for next year is the use of curves and waves to present a softer aesthetic. House hunters can spot this in the Ashdown through some of our light fitting, mirror and furniture choices.

Andy continues: “The main bedroom is designed as an elegant retreat, so the two remaining bedrooms have contrasting styles. The guest bedroom has a beautiful woodland fairy theme, including twin beds, meaning it is ideal for young families or visiting grandchildren. The third bedroom is styled as dual purpose, so is a home office with a day bed. Artwork in here is inspired by the activities nearby, including open water swimming in the sea.”

There is also a three-bedroom Puttenham show home, designed by Norwich-based interior designers, Homestagers. This exquisite home is adorned with serene shades of blue and enchanting coastal motifs that flow seamlessly throughout.

The downstairs cloakroom boasts a striking statement wallpaper showcasing a magnificent jellyfish design, while the third bedroom delights with a whimsical underwater-themed wallpaper, perfectly tailored for a youthful spirit. Elegant, panelled walls, an emerging & defining trend this year, grace both the kitchen and living spaces with their sophisticated charm. Adorned with exquisite soft rattan and beautifully white-washed wood furnishings, these rooms exude an air of refined luxury and timeless style.
